The Day After Resurrection Day

It is Monday April 25,2011: I don't suppose that is any great revelation to you because all one has to do is glance at the calendar to see that. So, what is significant about today? Well, it is the day after the Resurrection Day Anniversary.

See most people celebrated Easter yesterday and really the day before as well. They had their Easter egg hunts and the big dinners. AND, they all enjoyed themselves. I have no problem with that. I do have a problem with the whole Easter bunny thing. It's a lie! It emerged from the ancient fertility festivals of the Pagans. So, why is that a problem?

It masks the truth of Resurrection Day. Jesus was crucified and placed in a tomb. His disciples hid in fear that next day. Then when the women returned to the tomb. The great stone was rolled away and the tomb was empty. The angel said, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here.  He has risen! Remember how he told you while he was still with you in Galilee?" (Luke 24:5 & 6 NIV)

Mainstream society does not like the Resurrection. Some who profess to be religious don't believe the Resurrection happened. Some think that Jesus was just a super great man. It's that whole Son of Goid thing that messes with people because the have to decide what to do about their problem of sin. As Adam hid in the garden, most choose to hide from God. Yet God is calling all people to return to Him. He is merciful. So, that's a bid deal. Jesus Christ is ALIVE FOREVER AND WE WHO BELIEVE WILL BE CHILDREN OF GOD AND REIGN WITH HIM FOREVER!

So, now we must share this news with those around us. Tell them the Jesus Christ is no longer dead. The tomb is empty that the souls of all people can be filled with the hope that the resurrection brought.

Go have a GOD day today. Blessings to all.
